To guarantee the safety during the festival and to avoid serious incidents, we like to make clear arrangements about communication with the artist in case of emergency during the show. Such a situation can occur in case of extremely adverse weather, fire or explosion on the festival site, or serious incidents that require crowd control.
Such situations should be handled in a calm way, based on clear arrangements with the artist before the start of the show. In some adverse circumstances, it can be necessary to communicate directly with the artist during the show. In extreme situations, it might be necessary to interrupt the show until the situation is under control.
This procedure details how to react in two different situations: an apparent-risk situation (yellow card) and a high-risk situation (red card).
The decision about the seriousness of the risk and about which procedure to follow is taken by CP-OPS, composed of representatives of the organisation, fire department, police, first aid and local authorities.
Prior to the show, the stage manager informs the artist about how a possible show stop will be communicated during the show.
This procedure will be applied when a situation is deemed serious enough to communicate with the crowd in between two songs of the ongoing show. The message will be communicated to the crowd by the organisation (the presenter or the stage manager).
This procedure will be applied when an extreme situation requires the immediate stop of the show, due to a serious incident.
